On May 27, 2009 the world's largest solar technology trade show, Intersolar, will once again open its doors. Since it was first held, Intersolar has established itself as the industry’s leading international trade show, attracting manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and service companies alike. It will take place for the second time at the New Trade Fair Center Munich (Neue Messe München) from May 27-29, 2009. The trade show focuses on photovoltaics, solar thermal technology and solar architecture.
This year, the trade show will also feature an additional hall, specifically designated for photovoltaic production and technology. Around 1,300 exhibitors, with 100,000 sqm of exhibition pitch over nine halls, will welcome visitors from all over the world. This is a 30% increase in exhibition space, compared with 2008.
Current trends and products at the Innovation Exchange If you would like to find out about current trends and new products in the international solar industry, the Innovation Exchange in hall B3 of the Intersolar 2009 is the place for you. The exhibitors at the trade show will each have a fifteen minute slot to present their latest developments. The Innovation Exchange is the ideal place for Intersolar 2009 visitors to get an overview of the newest products in the solar industry. Afterwards experts of the respective companies will be available to provide further information.
Intersolar AWARD: Intersolar rewards pioneering solar technology The aim of the Intersolar AWARD, which was first presented in 2008, is to highlight the innovative strength of the photovoltaic and solar thermal industries. In 2009 Intersolar organizers Solar Promotion GmbH and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH (FWTM), in cooperation with the German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar), will present the Intersolar AWARD for the second time. The prize will be awarded to innovative companies from the photovoltaic and solar thermal sectors. The award ceremony will take place at the Innovation Exchange on May 27.
Networking at the Job and Career Forum The solar industry is one of the major job creating sectors in Germany. For this reason Intersolar will once again bring employers and applicants together at the Job and Career Forum in hall B3. The forum will list a large number of vacancies and offer individual guidance from experienced careers advisors, providing information on trends and job prospects in the solar industry. The Job and Career Forum will give personnel managers and applicants the opportunity to meet and perhaps even discuss job details. The companies participating in the Job and Career Forum will also be represented at Intersolar 2009.
