The awards mark a significant milestone in Qair UK’s strategy to expand its operational footprint and establish itself as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the UK from 2027 onwards.
The CfDs provide long-term revenue certainty, enabling Qair to accelerate project delivery and progress towards construction. Work on the first sites is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with initial commissioning targeted from early 2027.
“These CfD awards provide the revenue certainty needed to move ahead with construction and deliver these projects at pace” said Manuel Balseiro, Head of Delivery & Finance, Qair UK. “With work set to begin in the next few months, we are now focused on bringing new renewable capacity online efficiently and responsibly, helping to supply reliable clean electricity to UK consumers.”
Once operational, the projects will contribute to the UK’s clean energy transition by delivering domestically generated renewable electricity, strengthening energy security and supporting national decarbonisation objectives.
Securing these contracts demonstrates Qair UK’s continued commitment to investing in UK energy infrastructure and delivering renewable projects at scale, reinforcing its long-term role in supporting the UK’s path to net zero.
