The project marks another strategic addition to RP Global’s growing German renewables portfolio. Its location alongside the motorway marks the site as a ‘privileged location’, warranting EEG eligibility.
The solar farm consists of three neighbouring sites in the municipalities of Hettenleidelheim, Tiefenthal, and Neuleiningen, spanning 17.9 hectares. While ownership of the project is transferred to RP Global, Gaia, as the original project developer with extensive regional expertise, will continue to support the project’s optimisation.

The project demonstrates the potential for solar energy in Rhineland-Palatinate and the importance of making use of suitable sites along existing infrastructure corridors. We are delighted to continue supporting RP Global in the further optimisation of the project and to contribute our regional expertise to its successful realisation.”
With all key permits already secured, the project has reached ready-to-build status. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2027, with commissioning planned for the second half of the year.
“With the A6 project, we have increased our pipeline of projects under construction to 87 MWp” added Ray Zawalski, Country Manager Germany at RP Global. “In order to integrate the project into the market as effectively as possible, particularly with a view to the future EEG, we are collaborating with Gaia to add a battery storage system. This way, we aim to ensure that the project’s potential is fully realised, even in times of grid bottlenecks.”
