California parks department selects Envision Solar EV charging stations

California Department of Parks and Recreation will deploy Envision Solar’s EV ARC solar PV charging station at its Bay Area District Office and at Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz.

The units will allow park users, employees, and fleet vehicles operating electric vehicles in remote locations, and/or where circuit deficiencies exist, to plug in and drive using solar generated electricity.

“The California Department of Parks and Recreation is the latest agency to recognize the benefits of driving on sunshine with our EV ARCs” said Envision Solar CEO, Desmond Wheatley. 

As the number of EVs on California’s roads grows, Envision Solar believes there will be an increasing demand for the services provided by its EV ARC off-grid chargers, particularly in remote locations. The company regards parks and recreation agencies in California and across the US as likely areas of future growth.
