Guascor will design , build and operate the parks, and Banco Guipuzcoano will finance the investment. Besides, the bank will offer its customers the choice of acquiring a share in the park at advantageous conditions.
The 40 megawatts planned represent around 10% of Spain's Renewable Energy Plan, which aims to achieve a total capacity of 400 MW in the country by 2010. According to Guascor and Banco Guipuzcoano, the project will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of some 84,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
