Sicily is the place where most of the plants will be built. The projects are currently in different stages of development, being built by Phoenix. The German company will also do the operation and maintenance of the plants.
This contract will become the largest one for Phoenix Solar so far.
Both companies will thus take advantage of the fast-growing Italian market, which is at the moment Europe's most promising, after the success stories lived in Germany and Spain (a market that Meinl knows well) in the last years. The market will probably grow to 150 MW in 2008 and twice as much in 2009.
