This portfolio expansion follows similar agreements with other partners in recent months, boosting RES’ solar O&M portfolio in the UK&I to over 900 MW.
Downing LLP, a responsible investment manager with a 433 MW portfolio across wind, solar, storage and hydropower in the UK and the Nordics, has contracted RES to deliver full-scope O&M at several of its solar farms. In addition to the full-scope contracts, High Voltage (HV) responsibility has also been included, signifying a successful contract win for RES’ newly established in-house HV team.
“We are delighted to be working with Downing LLP in providing them with O&M services” said Brian Darnell, Head of Solar O&M at RES. “The breadth of sites allows RES to demonstrate our vast experience, skills and in-depth knowledge of solar PV O&M and HV capabilities.”
Simon Deacon, RES’ Operations and Maintenance Director added that the new contracts tie in with RES’ growth strategy to partner with selected long-term asset owners who share the same vision of ensuring longevity and efficiency of their plant, thereby allowing the compjany to show the full potential of the services that it offers.
