The newly created roles mark the latest step in a wider expansion drive that includes new hires, facilities, and investments across the region as demand for renewable energy solutions continues to rise. Over the past 12 months, the company has grown its UK workforce by more than 20 people, with further recruitment currently underway for senior operational and technical positions.

Based close to Belfast, Northern Ireland, Terry Devine brings extensive experience in business development within the renewables sector and has worked closely with leading OEMs and developers to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient wind projects. He most recently held a business development role at Access Rescue Consulting at Height.

Joe Farnell, based in the West of Scotland, joins from CAN Renewables, where he served as Technical Sales Manager, focused on delivering work at height solutions for OEMs and asset owners. This technical expertise and commercial acumen will be key in advancing FairWind’s presence and partnerships across the UK and Ireland.

Headquartered in Denmark, the business launched its first UK premises in Aberdeen last year. The UK and Ireland has since been established as a standalone region within its structure, reflecting the growth potential of the market.

René Damgaard, UKIE Regional Director at FairWind, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Terry and Joe to FairWind. Their deep industry knowledge and strong regional networks will be instrumental in driving our growth and strengthening relationships across the UK and Ireland. These appointments are part of our broader strategy to invest in people, build local capability, and establish a long-term, sustainable presence in the UK and Ireland.

“The UK continues to play a leading role in the global transition to renewable energy, and the wind sector is vital to achieving national net zero targets. With increasing demand for efficient, large-scale installation and maintenance solutions, we look forward to supporting the sector through our technical excellence, operational reliability and commitment to local delivery.”
