Saitec and Univergy Partner on Offshore Wind Projects

Saitec Offshore Technologies and Univergy have closed an agreement for the creation of a Special Purpose Company for the development of floating projects in Japan with SATH (Swinging Around Twin Hull) technology.

SATH is a prestressed-concrete floating platform consisting of two cylindrical and horizontal hulls with conical ends linked to each other through bar-frame structures.

Ignacio Blanco, Executive President of Univergy Internacional, said, “This agreement that links Saitec and Univergy has a high strategic value for the development of offshore plant projects, thanks to the expertise of both companies in this sector of the economy, as well as by floating technology SATH”.

Alberto Gardós Tobalina, President of Saitec Group, added, “This agreement sees the union of two companies with a very strong presence in the  international field providing great experience in management of PLA s and technologies with advanced solutions in projects offshore through the SATH”.

Univergy International is a Spanish-Japanese company specializing n the development of renewable energy, operating in 12 countries worldwide. The company brings a high level of know-how in the development of projects from renewable sources, with a portfolio of development of projects higher than 3.1 MW and offshore wind projects of more than 800 MW.

Saitec brings the technical know-how to provide the basic engineering and layouts for the development of the offshore projects; implementation of the SATH technological solution in the projects and equipment selection, and construction of the project.
