Sharp and Coremosa Energías Renovables Partner on New PV Project in Spain

Sharp Energy Solutions Europe has expanded its partnership with Coremosa Energías Renovables for a photovoltaic project in Zaragoza. The two companies entered into the partnership in 2006 in order to work more closely together on projects in Spain in the free-field and C&I segment. The latest projects are a 1MW in Calatayud and a 0.5MW PV system in Paracuellos de Jiloca, Zaragoza, using Sharp’s NU-JD445 panel. Coremosa Energías Renovabels is the developer, owner and investor of the PV systems.

Coremosa Energías Renovables belongs to Spanish Coremosa Grupo. Coremosa Energías Renovables is a developer and installer of grid-connected photovoltaic plants. Coremosa Energías Renovables is committed to the environment and to using clean, renewable energy to generate electricity, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and thereby contributing overall to slowing down climate change.

Coremosa Energías Renovables strength is in public-law project development services, such as on-site communication, securing land use rights and procuring building land use and planning permissions. Coremosa Energías Renovabels brings its 15 years of experience in developing, building and operating photovoltaic energy projects to the table.

In addition to its products, Sharp also brings over 60 years of experience in the photovoltaic and technical planning and consultancy business, and has extensive expertise in the area of PV modules for the free-field and C&I segment.

The PV module being used, the NU-JD445, is designed specifically for free-field and commercial rooftop installations. It has a module efficiency of 20.1% and is suitable for a voltage up to 1,500 V. The low temperature coefficient of -0.347%/°C ensures solid performance at a high environmental temperature, which becomes increasingly important due to climate change and the resulting rise in global temperatures.

Celia Alcaraz, KAM Solar Sales Spain, Portugal & Southern France Sharp Energy Solutions Europe, states, “Our strategic direction envisions the expansion of free-field and C&I projects in Coremosa Energías Renovables territory and beyond the area of Zaragoza. By working together, Coremosa Grupo benefits from the advantages that we, as a panel supplier, can contribute to our partnerships: direct access to production capacity and technical consultancy for our modules are just two examples. What we particularly like about our collaboration with Coremosa Grupo is to expand the long-lasting and professional relationship we have had for many years.”

“With Sharp modules, Coremosa Grupo uses the quality of a historic and visionary brand,” says Angel Modrego Munoz, General Manager of Coremosa. “In a time of uncertainty and major changes in the market, I believe the reliability that Sharp can guarantee is an absolutely important value for our business. Sharp’s long industry experience of more than 60 years, combined with the technical features of the modules and Sharp’s 15-year product guarantee and 25-year performance guarantee with a minimum of 85% in year 25 perfectly provides the high expectations we have of our module supplier.”
